Buffalo Ridge Elementary and BREA will host the first BRE Science Fair, “Mission Green”, on Thursday, April 26, 2012.

Students will create environmentally conscious projects while they explore scientific ideas that help the environment. The junior scientists will use research and experimentation to determine how their ideas would benefit our planet.  Students will be encouraged to use recyclable materials.  Fourth and fifth graders will participate individually and kindergarten through third graders will take part as a class. The kick-off assembly is planned for March 1 and entry deadlines are due by April 6.

Mission Green ties into Buffalo Ridge’s Unified Improvement Plan for improving Math and Science Education. Students are allowed to explore scientific areas of interest and incorporate knowledge from previous lessons, activities and experiences.
