What a wonderful way to CELEBRATE BOOKS!!!
Valerie Ferraro, BREA Co-VP of Student Affairs, and Carolyn Major, BRE Librarian, recently launched the Celebration Books program. Nine books have been dedicated thus far. After BREA’s initial start-up investment, the program is self-funding. It provides the on-going means for BRE’s library to be enhanced without the time, planning, and investment involved in a more traditional fundraiser. To participate, simply pick one of the library-bound books from the Celebration Bookrack located in the library. Fill out the form, write a personal message, attach a $15 check made payable to BRE, and place the completed form in the special Celebration box. The next time your child has library for specials, they will be presented with the book in front of their class and the book will officially go into circulation as a BRE library book. This is a great way to celebrate an academic or extra-curricular achievement, a gift from a grandparent, a good-bye, a thank you, or to commemorate a fifth grader’s graduation from Buffalo Ridge. What about a year-end dedication to a beloved teacher? And, don’t forget about middle and high school aged siblings who attended BRE. The occasions to celebrate with a book dedication are limitless!
